cannot login after changing the username
I really stuck here!
I setup a new 1841 router and I used the " no username cisco " and change the password. Now I'm
When I hit enter it keeps showing username and not going to password.
I know the password is ok because before I used the " no username cisco " I was able to log into the router with cisco as the username and my password!
unable to login to the router via telnetI thought I set it up:
line vty 0 4
password xxxxxxxx
login
but I'm unable to connect via telnet
what's my next move
thanks

Your Cisco 1841 has more vty lines than 1 - 4. If you do a sho run down towards the bottom of your config you will see VTY 5 15 and possibly others. You will have to apply the password and login command to each of these line groups.
