Forward and Reverse DNS not syncing

My forward and reverse records are out of sync.  The reverse records contain out of date/previous information.  How can I get them to be the same?

They don't sync with each other.  There is no automated process to do this.

By default a Windows client will register its forward and reverse lookup records itself.
If something happens to the system and you have to remove it from the network.  The records will remain unless you delete it.

There is an automated means to delete these stale records called Scavenging.  Here is how you configure it:
