I noticed that you can not have a app.config file in with the WCF Service Library. But you want to have the app.config file in the Host (app hosting the WCF service).

So my question is...I have some Paths and file search criteria that I wanted to include in the app.config file for the WCF Service Library. Since I am not able to have a app.config file what would I be able to have or do to solve this?

ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["whateverthekeyis"]

you can access other key values through the configurationmanager.--

hopefully i am understanding what you are needing.

I tried putting my values in like normal. However...it gives errors along the lines of needing the endpoint in the config file.

I am not needing it for the service host  but for the "Service itself"
