How to script a shutdown that will install Windows Updates.

This question continues question ID: 23124168.
I have downloaded Windows updates, the next shutdown will install them (the default manual shutdown option). However I am using a scripted shutdown (starts after scripted routine maintenance : defrag, virus updates, etc.). The problem is that "shutdown -s" does not install the updates before shutting down (I tested this after the question cited above). How can I achieve this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The script downloadable from here:

http://www.vbshf.com/vbshf/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=199&start=1

works for both WSUS and standard Windows Update. (or as I understand it)

I think this is gonna work. I have to do the tweaking and some testing, but it looks like any XP machine will know how to execute this, so deploying the script would be easy. I will complete this question when I can find the time to finish the prep. Thanks!

There is a Script Host error (8024A000) that will occur if Automatic Updates are turned off in the control panel, not documented in the script. I thought I was helping by reducing redundancy... Shot self in foot.
