SQL Profiler duration long

I ;ve been using SQL Profiler to troubleshoot performance issues.  This is just one row of the sql trace.

This select statement :
SELECT     * FROM       SLXTRIGGERS WHERE enabled = 'T' AND table_name = 'ACTIVITY' ORDER BY type, sequence

Had a duration of :980985
with a start time of 2008-02-07 15:04:19.160
and an endtime of  2008-02-07 15:04:20.127

In SQL profiler the duration is in ms so this query supposedly took 980 seconds.  But if you look at the starttime and endtime it would have only lasted 1 second.  So which is right?  Did it take 980 seconds or 1 second?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
