recycling pc

I have this mobilon tripad pv-6000 that I want to givenew life to as a RDP device.  I'm looking for some sort of OS like on the Asus micro computers.  Something like Ubuntu where I can use a wireless pc card to connect this to my Windows 2003 server.  It has Windows CE version 3 on it now.
Any thoughts?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Ubuntu is a really good choice, see info for the wireless scenario for Ubuntu.

Another option is to use an OS that was developed to be a thin client OS and not really a PC/Desktop one. In this case I would take a look at the 2X ThinClient Server, PXES Edition (free) that not only does that but gives you a way to centrally manage all devices running the OS.

Another option (but with no management parts like 2X) is Thinstation.
