How Import Camera-video into CS3 Flash?

I have been shooting video (using a Sony HVR-HD1000U Cam with Firewire output) and importing the video into iMovie (on the Mac) - all good.
Now I am using Flash, and want to import my raw video into Flash ... but I am not sure how to go about it.
I have the original video on tape, and also the .M4V files from when I imported them last time for use with iMovie.
FLASH help please !!   :-)

you need to import your movie to the computer first in one of the formats: Quicktime, AVI, MPEG, DV, WMV (Windows Media)
Then you import that video into flash using Flash Video Encoder or the Import>Video in the Flash Application. Flash can't import directly from the camera.
To import from your camera use the software from the vendor, or use some editing software like Adobe Premiere

Also you can try converting your M4V files to Quicktime, then import to Flash

Just open M4V file in QuickTime Pro, and Save in quicktime format (.MOV)

If that doesnt work u need a converter
FLV to AVI MPEG WMV 3GP MP4 iPod Converter\FLV to AVI MPEG WMV 3GP MP4 iPod Converter.exe

or a video editing software that can convert to a format that can be used by flash.
