How can I transfer users from redhat to suse 10

I want to migrate all my users from REdHAT As/3 to SUSE linux 10, I want to create the same accounts and same password and if it's possible the same samba login and password, is that possible ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's possible. To migrate system accounts copy them from RH /etc/passwd to the new system then copy encrypted password from /etc/shadow. Then copy users data from /home. As for samba copy /etc/samba/smbusers and if you want copy definitions of shares from /etc/samba/smb.conf.

Hope this helps :-)
