Outlook calendar statistics

I have been asked the following question by a user:

After a new implementation from the direction the users have to label their different kinds of rendez-vous with a different colour. Having done that the head of departments would like to have at the end of every month a resume of the ammount of time spent by each user for a certain type of meeting (meeting with the financial dept, marketing etc...)

Is this possible?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi, jqurashi.

Outlook does not have a built-in means of doing this.  That leaves you with two possible solutions.  First, Crystal Reports can produce reports from Outlook.  Second, you could write a script that would do this.  Each user would have to run a report.  If you need a consolidated report, then I believe that Crystal Reports can read Exchange too.

Thanks for the info, I will have to look into the Crystal Reports option as I have no idea on how to write the script.

Thanks , James

I can post a script that does this if that'd help.  I'd need to know a little more about how you'd want it to work.  For example, do you have Microsoft Access so the records could go into a database?
