I have a script in actionscript 3 and want to convert it to a version that will work with Flash 8 pro.

Thanks,

hi jone, I'll convert that code for you. Let me just have a little time here. Also could execute the code I sent you before (the swf in the browser?)

Hi Julian,

Yes, I left a post on the last question. It works great. I will need to slow down the fade in and fade out time a little but it looks really good thanks and works in the browser.

Thanks,

Derek

no problem, the way I've made it you just have to adjust 1 parameter to change the fade time and idle time.

Hi Julian,

Here is a sample of the size of the quote box that will go on the site. I wonder when you are re-designing it would it be possible to put in one other paraameter called "name" so that I could put it in as per the image I have attached?

Thanks so much,

Derek

Hi Julian,

Just wondering if it would be possible for you to change that actionscript over the next few days? If not I could re-post the question if you feel you won't have the time.

Thanks,

D

here it is

change extension to zip. the logic is almost the same, i tried to keep the variables names so you would understand. The main difference is the way i dealt with XML , and all the conversions between language specifications of as3 and 2

thanks for waiting

Thanks Julian,

I almost have that ready to put up on the site now. I wonder could you tell me how to change the script slightly so that the quotes appear at random and not one after another?

Cheers,

D

it is not that easy. I'll try to take a look later to see if there is a simple solution to that. But to do that we should reorder the array each time all the quotes are done.
