There are a few places that this can be stored, make sure that the protected storage service is enabled and running under services.  Also make sure to go to tools. internet options, content, autocomplete settings and make sure that user name and password box is checked.
Hello nrlane,

You need to enable autocomplete in IE7
1. Select Tools > Internet Options > Content tab > Next to "AutoComplete" click "Settings".

2. The "AutoComplete Settings" dialog box will appear. Next to "Web addresses" check or uncheck the box as desired.
Check to remember username and password

3. Click "OK" on the dialog boxes to close them.

Some websites block the remembering the password for security reason, so you will the manually input the password.

Hope this helps!

Websites remember previous logins with cookies. Make sure cookies are enabled in IE7.
1. Start Internet Explorer
2. Under the ?Tools? menu, click ?Internet Options?
3. Click the ?Privacy? tab
4. Click the ?Advanced? button
5. Put a check mark in the box for ?Override Automatic Cookie Handling?, put another check mark in the ?Always accept session cookies? box.
6. Click OK.
