WINS migration to 2003

I've been unsuccessful at attempting to migrate  WINS from NT 4 to 2003. I've followed the knowledgebase articles posted on Microsoft and still cannot get it to Win 2003 from NT 4 even after trying to migrate WINS to Windows 2000 first. I wanted to know the ramifications if I started a clean WINS installation on  Win 2003 and modified DHCP to use it as a primary WINS server? I no longer have a use for the NT servers as they are being decomissioned. What should I look out for?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could always make a new 2003 WINS server a Pull partner with the NT4 box and that should replicate everything.

You could always start over and ensure your clients get the new WINS IP through DHCP then reboot them to register.
