How to open external URL in a MovieClip?
I have a real estate client who wants to open the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in a window on her personal site. The MLS will not allow individual access to its RSS feed. Windermere Real Estate captured the data and packaged it in am HTML based service called PropertyPoint using a nice map based ui. The problem is how to open the PropertyPoint URL in a specific movieclip - not just repalce the Flash page with a new browser window?
Let me see if I understand. You want to open an HTML page, inside a movieclip? If it is so, you can't. If it is not what I'm saying, please explain it again. thanks

I think that's it. I will talk to the PropertyPoint guy's tomorrow to see if that's the only option. Thanks
You could potentially overlay that HTML portion in an iframe on top of the movieClip you need... It technically is not HTML inside the Flash, but it normally does the job as long as you can control the iframe strategically...

Thanks to all who replied with their thoughts. I am still looking into this question. I have been told that it is possible in Flex. Does anyone know if this is true?
I work with many clients in the multi-family development and property management industry. They typically have contracted for HTML based services such as lead tracking and Multiple Listing services. They would like to have these interface with their website. As a designer i really do not want to go back to the limitations of HTML sites. I think Flash is the future, but it needs to live in an HTML world now.

flex can't do it, AIR application can. Bur AIR is not meant for websites exactly, although you could write air apps using flex framework

Can the Flex be brought into AS2? and is this something you could do for us?
