I have installed a Symantec Endpoint Security 11.0 Server and created client installation package for installation on clients. After facing a problem of client not showing entry in console, we uninstalled the server and then installed again. Now we have the entry of the client registred on console but policies are not getting reflected on clients. we are installing clients using customized installation packages.
Can anyone give me clue for troubleshooting ?

you may have needed to update the sylink.xml file on the client machines .

Each installation of SEPM generates a unique ID Key . Because you re-installed the SEPM Console it will have generated a new ID key . The clients will have been trying to find the old SEPM server for updates , even though the server is the same .

Strange I know but we had the same issues here . You will find the sylink.xml file on the SEPM Server and a tool to copy this file to client machines is located on CD2 of the product .
