If you are doing simple file/print sharing and do not have an open licensing agreement you will likely need to buy the licenses. &nbsp;If you have 30 users active throughout the day, you will need 30.. if 10 are floaters then maybe you only need 20.

I've just come in to a small IT department. They have 4 W2k3 servers with OEM licenses. they have approx 30 users and have 50 W2k3 CAL's. &nbsp;I need to buy another server to act as a second DC(they only had 1). Do i have to purchase another 30 CAL's or do the ones already purchased cover this?<br />
