This one worked for me:<br />

1. Click Start, click Run, and then type gpedit.msc. <br />
2. Under Local Computer Policy, expand Computer Configuration,<br />
3. expand Administrative Templates<br />
4. expand System. <br />
5. Double-click Do not turn off system power after a Windows system shutdown has occurred. <br />
6. Click the Setting tab, click Enabled, and then click OK.

I have a UPS SMART UPS 2200 with 8-Port Share-UPS Interface Expander.<br />

I had a power failure over 1 hour and the servers did shutdown based on the UPS power down feature.<br />
<br />
However upon power restore the only server that restarted was the one attached to the advance port on the expander. I had to manually restart the other server.<br />

Does any one know why this would have happened?<br />

The one that restarted was a win2k with powerchute+ installed. other server SBS2003 using the windows power settings.
