"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You have to replicate the public folders (is there a question in there?) to the new server.  You did not state, but I will assume that your old server is 2000 or 2003.  You need to use the old servers EMC, right click each public folder and add the new server as a replicant - OR - download the pfdavadmin utility from MS to migrate the public folders.

New user are not showing up in GAL or in the address book?

1. On the new Exchange 2007 server create a new OAB.
Organization Configuration >> Mailbox >> Offline Address Book - New Offline Address Book.  Include the GAL and all distribution points.
2. On the new Exchange 2007 server, change the default address book for each mail store.
Server Configuration >> Mailbox >> Right Click your mail store - properties >> Client Settings Tab.  Change it to your new OAB that you just created.

Allow time to replicate.  Cached mode users will need to log out and back in then Tools >> Send/Receive >> Download Address book.
