"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If manufacturers wait to release a printer until they obtain driver certification, the printer will be obsolete before it can be sold. If no certified drivers are available (95% of the time), just ignore the warning.

As jdera says, check the manufacturer's website. Also, check the list of printers in the list that comes up in the Add Printer wizard. Those drivers are supplied by Microsoft and will be certified.
