Setup an alert when a new dhcp lease is aquired

I would like to setup somekind of alert when a DHCP lease is aquired.  Is there anyway of doing this.  I just like to know if there is a foriegn PC on the network grabbing an ip address.  Thanks,

not natively, you would need to put some security on your switches if they are layer 2 - this can get messy and time consuming to maintain and they wont alert you, the phone will ring with a pissy end user though :) there are also way s of implementing the same sort of technology with native DHCP in windows server, but its a reg hack and i wouldnt be all that keen on reccomending it
