NBTSTAT and Computer Management

I am able to ping a computer by IP and by name.
But If I try to use nbtstat -A ipadress or nbtstat -a computername
it says host not found.

I also cannot connect to it through computer management.

any idea why?

Sounds like you need to enable Netbios over TCP/IP.

no not at all, there may be a tad more broadcast traffic, but nothing to be concerned about...
