"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you will have to reset the CMOS. Check in any manual you can find for this comp for how to reset the CMOS

Modern laptops do not release the Bios password with clearing the CMOS, as the password is kept on a security chip that is not effected by this action.
Call Dell and provide proof of ownership, they will be able to help you.
