Act database and Win fax pro
I am having trouble connecting my act database using fax admin an add on program and win fax pro. This means I cannot send fax mail merge through win fax pro. I either get the message that it cannot read the binary file or that it cannot send a certain .rtff file. Wh nI try to connec the databases it says I have an aolder version of act 4.0 and I have act 8.0! I dont know what to do next it is very frustrating and my IT people have no experience in the ACT datbase arena.

Yes I have done it on Win fax pro forum but not ASDS will do that now... Now my winfax pro will not register as reading my act database..... why would it not read a newer version of act?
WinFAX Pro does not know about ACT! 7.0 or later ... that's why you need FaxAdmin to use it.

this is the message I get when I open Act-
'System.Null.ReferneceExce ption: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at asds.shared register. registration provider.
THanks for your help so far I now understand why they are not being compatible. Now I have to get fax admin working in act then hopefully will be able to send mail merge from act tthat win fx pro picks up correctly and faxes out.

If you're in Australia (as your time-zone suggests), you might also consider a more powerful fax option in MergeMaster. have a look at - http://www.prodocom.com.au/mergeMaster.php
MergeMaster will be cheaper, faster and with many more functions. Contract Prodocom to get a trial... it's worth it.
