Driver will not finish installing

I'm trying to install a printer driver for an officejet pro L7580.  It gets to step four and then just blows away.  The user has admin rights.  I have tried 2 cds and also installed it off of HP's website.  Any ideas?  She has installed other software on the machine just fine.  I have run a registry cleaner and removed the printer drivers from the registry.

Thanks

Can you install the drivers in safe mode?

No, it says that the resolution is not good enough for the install.

If you browse the driver cd, you should be able to add the drivers manually.  I'd recommend this anyway--after all, I can't remember how many times I've made computers run much faster by removing the always-running printer interface.

Search for a .inf file on the cd.
Add a new printer though the add hardware wizard and look browse for the .inf file on the CD.
It should be able to identify the printer though the driver file and install it.
