We have 2 servers; 1 SBS and 1 W23K member server. They both have a FULL (not agent) copy of LiveState Advanced Server 6.0 on them and have jobs to run full recovery points of both their drives each night. All data is backed up to an external USB drive on the SBS server.
All jobs on SBS work fine.
C drive on the member server works fine but the second drive of the member server has just started failing (it used to work fine) with the following error:
Date: 2/12/2008 3:00:03 AM
Notification Type: Error
Description: Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job:
Recovery point of H:\. Error EC8F03ED: Cannot create the recovery point.
Error E0BB0004: Function Create Image argument Filename is invalid.
Error E7D10026: Unable to get attributes for '//***/backup/'. Error
EBAB03F1: The system cannot find the file specified.
I know it's a slightly unusual setup and there are network and USB issues but it used to work fine and as the first drive job works fine each night on the member server, I'm thinking it may be something to do with LiveState or the hard drive?
I haven't been able to run chkdsk or defrag it on the member server, is this because it is RAD5? Would this help anyway? There is no problem with users accessing the data on this drive and it backs up to tape (BackupExec) fine each night.
Thanks in advance, Brad.
