Slow @

Maybe this question is a little bit strange, but some of our ASP customer complain about slow respons when they hit the @ key on there keyboard. This is only when they are loged into Windows 2003 Terminal Server (no Citrix). Actually I have seen the problem my self on another server. Often you have to hit the @ key 2-3 times before it shows.
For information in Norway we have to hit the Alt Gr+2 too get the @ symbol. Maybe there could be something problem with hit to key's at the same time over a terminal server session??

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The problem is with the AltGr key which emulates the Ctl + Alt combination.  Certain clients may release the Alt key but not the Ctl key when AltGr is pressed.  This will result in the key failing the next time around because instead of toggling the Ctl key on at the same time as the Alt key it toggles the Ctl key off resulting in just an Alt.  The best solution is explicitly use the Ctl+Alt (+ 2) keys instead of the AltGr key.  Another possibility is to map a different key combination for the Ctl + Alt emulation.
