iTunes window keeps moving

Every time I open iTunes, the window is not at the top of the screen.  I move it to the top and if I click on a different tab (for example going from movies to music) the iTunes window move down to the location it was at when it opened.  This wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't put the bottom of the window behind the dock.  How can I get the window to stay at the top of the screen?

Are you on the latest versions of the OS and iTunes?... Click on the Apple and click Software Updates and make sure you have all the recent updates.

Try moving the preferences file (com.apple.iTunes.plist) from /Users/<youraccount>/Library/Preferences to your desktop and have iTunes recreate it, there might be some corruption there preventing iTunes from registering the new window location... read this book blurb for more info...

I'll try that when I get home and I'll let you know how it goes.
