Maintaining DC secure channel over WAN connection

6 sites, SBS2003 at head office, 5 branch sites with Win2003 as local DCs.

One of the branch servers keeps losing its secure channel with the domain.  Have to keep resetting it using netdom.

I realise this is a symptom of an unreliable WAN link.  But what can I do to ensure it maintains its secure channel?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I use RV042 routers between sites to connect them via hardware VPNs. This is the best way to keep the online 24/7 in my opinion. Very tidy router for the price.

Yes, we're waiting for the thumbs-up to replace all routers with Watchguard Firebox x20e units - which will hopefully fix this issue.

However, just wanted to know if there was some way to avoid it happening in the meantime.

Firebox routers all in now - so problem solved.

Thanks for the input
