Network Behavior analysis tool
Im looking for software that can help me trend my network and also quickly troubleshoot issues when a customer calls in and says the network is slow . I want a product that is easy and quick to use (emphasis once again quick and easy).
I currently use solar winds for monitoring my switchs. If I have a customer to call in and say the network is slow, I usually check to make sure there are no errors on the switch ports, and that the switches processor and memory is ok. I would like a tool that could help me delve further into the problem. Id also like to have a tool that could help me trend my network performance so I would have a base line.
Ive used both ethereal and wireshark in the past to troubleshoot network slow downs, but I want something that is more user friendly and that will quickly tell me what the problem is. I find that I have to do a lot of digging to get the information I need to troubleshoot network problems using ethereal or wireshark. I was looking at mazu networks NBA but I read somewhere that starting prices were about 45,000. That is a little expensive for my budget.
If anyone has any suggestions for affordable windows based network behavior analysis tools please let me know.

Are devices are not netflow compatible so the solar winds orion tool set will net give us any network analysis information. Anyone else have any suggestions.
