Windows Updates and Citrix Presentation Server 4.0

Just inherited a 9 server Citrix farm with the web interface, publishing a company's home grown app.  During the time of installation, the decision was made to not peform the Windows updates as everything was working fine, and the update involve installing SP2.  Installing SP2 raised concerns.

The company would now like to upgrade to SP2, along with all other critical updates that follow.  I've researched the potential issues I could run into when going to SP2, but I'll need assitance with the huge list of updates that will follow.

Is there a resource on citrix.com, or the net, which will tell me ALL of the updates I'll have issues with?  Along with the fixes?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no list that defines this your only option would be to search there technet and kb with the term citrix on the microsoft support site.

Same goes for citrix but use the term post sp2 update or something similar

as far as SP2 Microsoft lists no incompatibility with Citrix

In the enviroment I was in we ran XP SP2 with no issue with Citrix. Printing was our only issue and that has always happened with Citrix

Just to make sure we are on the same page.  I need to do the Windows updates on the servers, not the clients.  The servers are Windows 2003, without SP2.

The Citrix site lists these known issues that Citrix has with SP2:
   http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX113035

That should give you a fairly recent list (updated 3 months ago)

Like I said "I've researched the potential issues I could run into when going to SP2 (http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX113035), but I'll need assitance with the huge list of updates to follow."

Do you recommend any site(s) for this info?  Are any particular type of search on citrix.com

Actually, I don't see where you said you researched that specific article, so I mentioned it to be sure you saw it (and so anyone reading the discussion later has the link).

The article was updated in November, and should be up to date at that point. If there are further issues, the same article should be updated.

If you have concerns about individual post-SP2 fixes, you can get the list of fixes that your system wants to apply after upgrading and search each Microsoft number on the Citrix website.
