Installing store of exchange from disk .

We have had to rebuild our 2003 server with active directory.  We did not have a backup of active directory.  We have a copy of the mdbdata files on a external disk.  Here is what we have done so far...
Reload fresh copy of Server 2003 with Active directory - same server name
Setup all users in active directory
Installed Exchange
It opens new store fine.
How can we open our mdbdata files from our external Hard Drive. "This is not a backup, just a copy"
Thanks

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What happened on the old server - did you shut it down normally, or did it crash?  You may be able to simply dismount the store, copy in the .edb and .stm files from the older server, and remount store.  However, that will only work if the old database was taken offline gracefully and there are no uncommitted log files.  Also, I'm pretty sure that the server name would have to be the same as well.  If the server name is different, this article may help:
