Database on the Web

Currently I have databases in MS Access.  I need to have them shared on the website.  How is best to accomplish this? (Performance Wise)
I don't mind to rewriting the database in other programming languages like php or asp? But I don't know what works best so I could start developing?  I need your opinion.  Thanks

ASP, and PHP are not database programming languages,

they are Server Scripting Languages.

Since you have an Access Database, I would use ASP and ADO to access the database.

check this site out for info.

well, you can use access nicely with php, asp and php are alike as they are server side scripting languages, but they are so far apart in dealing with things. personally, i used both and i like php better. so, if your background is visual basic, asp is for you, if you are familiar with C, java, C# or even javascript, php uses same syntax.

PHP & MySQL combination is best one to achieve the faster results on the web ... I have done large volume of mysql database with php ... it gives better performance ... It is better convert MSAccess to Mysql and write script with PHP....

yes, it is possible ...

step-1 : convert MsAccess database into MySQL ...

-- create table  structure as msaccess in mysql ... it is easy

-- use ODBC functions to connect ms-access db and export all the data into MySQL...
it is possible ...

everything will run on windows using XAMPP software ...  it is PHP/MySQL software to run on Windows...

Or just use the Database Migration Wizard provided by MySQL from the GUI Applications.
