"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Did you restart both the groupshield 7 services and the exchange services?   Did you install SP2 for the exchange 2003?  Some software will not running correctly without Exchange SP1 or SP2...

after apply the sp2 to exchange 2003.
1.  Did you check with Mcafee and make sure the Groupshield 7 is support exchange 2003?
2.  After you check with Mcafee and confirm the version will work with exchange 2003 I'll recommend to uninstall groupshield 7.  restart the computer
3.  Reinstall the groupshield 7 and make sure the account you install the groupshield got permission to access the exchange server and see how it goes.
4.  Check the event viewer and see if there's any error log.

Did you upgrade to GroupShield 7 from a previous version or is this a clean install on a new server?  I ran into the same issue when going from GS 6.02 to GS 7.  I ended up having to uninstall GS 7, go into the registry and remove all instances of SpamKiller, SpamD, and then reboot.  After reboot, installed GS again.  Apparently when you uninstall GS, it doesn't clear out registry entries like it should, so it ends up corrupting the next install attempt.

I made an upgrade from GS6.02 (first I uninstalled the GS6.02 but I did not clean the registry), so is posible that the install was corrupt. I will try to uninstall GS6.02, clean the registry and then install the GS7.
