crystal report does not show calendar image at date parameter on server machine

My crystal report runs fine on my development machine using VS2005 but when it runs on the web server it shows the date parameters without the calendar image and clicking the  image placeholder does nothing. I am so close to having this thing work this is the latest hang-up.

There is also an error showing in my web.config file but it runs fine on the development machine the error that offends the vs2005 editor is the follwoing line :

<httpHandlers><add verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandler, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=10.2.3600.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"/></httpHandlers></system.web>
                         <location allowOverride="true" inheritInChildApplications="true">

The phrase " inheritChildApplications" at the very end is underlined in blue and the message that I get with a mouse-over is "InheritChildApplications attribute is not declared. I donlt know it his is related to my calendar image problem or not.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That is the cause of the problem.

Make sure you have given permissions to the Virtual Directories that Crystal uses.
aspnet_client and CrystalReportViewer115

I only have the aspnet_client virtual folder. I gave permissions to the Network Service and aspnet user for that folder. I do not have a CrystalReportViewer115 folder. It still does not work.

It seems as though the javascript is not loading at all for the date parametrers. I also have a string parameter that the crystal viewer provides a drop-down list for and that seems to work.

You may have to create that folder.

OK, I can certainly create that folder but what goes into it? Where exactly does it go?

I don't know since I don't work on Web apps.

I guess I should rephrase the question. I did state that the problem is on a web server but I can make that more clear. Anybody else want to try this?
