Here is the math I used
6 Mb/s x 1000 (1000 Kb in 1 Mb) = 6000 Kb/s
6000 Kb/s DSL / 8 (8 bits in 1 byte) = 750 KB/s down
384 MB x 1000 (1000 KB in 1 MB) = 384,000 KB
384,000 KB / 750 KB/s = 512 s
512 s / 60 = 8.53 minutes
It just does not seem like you have enough bandwidth, there are also some other limiting factors such as upload speed from the other end. I would suggest something like terminal services or a virtual server that clients can remote to access this program / file at the office where the data is located.
To answer your question no I don't think that Peachtree Premium Multiuser 2008 will solve your problem.
