asked on

Is it better to downgrade to XP or buy an English version of Vista? My computer is completely Korean -

I have Windows Vista Premium on my computer, forgot to ask for the English version - and have been stuck with the Korean version.

Can't install webcam - need English version.

I was thinking about downgrading to XP, or maybe I should buy the English Vista.

ps. I was going to borrow an XP CD from someone.
pps.  I just bought a Logitech webcam that should be compatible, but Vista won't acknowledge, and I can't understand the language....

the problem is snowballing....
Downgrading can prove problamatic depending on teh build of your machine as some drivers havent been made compatible with xp to make this harder for you!! before you go formatting yoru machine and installing xp ensure you can get all teh drivers you need for your machien on xp and then make a decision

Go for Winxp / sp2 ---its advanced operating system and secured and driver database is larga and compatible to more hardware and windows software and also fast in speed rather than vista and Hardware rquirement is less than the vista and you can install the third party sw on winxp not on vista it always promt you to Microsoft signature.
