Is there a limit to the number of mailboxes you can have on Windows 2003 small business server? Problems adding mailbox.

Creating a user and assigning a mailbox to them is causing problems.  Mailbox not showing up in exchange system manager.  BUt i know that the account is being created, sort of, since when i right click on the user and choose "all exchange tasks" i see the option is there to move or delete the mailbox.  Thanks.

he mailbox is not created straight away :) try sending it some mail - then look in the exchange system manager.

But to answer the question - no there is no limit to mailbox's in exchange  but you can only have up to 75 clients on an SBS2003  server

THanks for the info pete.  Is there a limit to the number of users though?
yes you can have 75 users (if you have user CALS) or 75 machines (If you have device CALS)

CALS = Client access licences, by default SBS Licencing is in user mode, so if you havnt done anything with licences then 75 is the limit on users
I have sent mail to it, but the account still doesn't show up in the ESM.
Ok, it's well under 75.  Sent a message to test@domain.com.  Note: other users are fine.
