Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Hello!

I'm programming an application that uses a library/DLL. The error occures at the function of the DLL-File.

When I compile the Project in VB.NET at my computer it still works... When I test the software on an other computer there occures this errormessage: "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

But when I compile the project at the other Computer it will work there. Then, when I test this Application on my computer, the error occures again. "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

What means that? I dont know why this error occures... The library is registered on both computers. It should work fine.

What can I do, that my application works on both computers?
I dont want or can compile this project on any computer. I want to compile the project an 1 computer and transfer the file to other computers... How can I do this?

Sorry for my bad english. :-)

Thank You!

I dont create an installer. I dont deploying via installer. No xcopy in my code.

Thank you for the fast answer
The problem was the .NET version. The Framework 2.0 on my computer contains the SP1. So there was an issue with all copy-functions and windows function in the DLL (compiled with .NET 2.0 without SP1) :-)

Thx for the Comments

Hello,

Do changes in visual studio and rebuild  before deploying

VS -> Tools->Option-> debugger ->general-> un check suppress JIT optimization On module load.

Thanks
