DCOM errors being logged.

I'm having a problem with a domain controller logging a few odd messages. Two of them are:

DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer [computername] using any of the configured protocols.

where [computername] is a mail server that was removed from the network long ago.

as well as

DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer [ip address] using any of the configured protocols.

where [ip address] is the ip address of my external ISP's dns server where i forward external requests so.

anyone have any ideas about why these are being logged and how to get rid of them?

I'm not so sure the mail servers were DC's but i'll check into it. Thanks,
I've confirmed that they were not DCs, and that the steps above did not list them in ntdsutil.

Thanks,
