I can plug a usb pendrive into the server and as soon as it's mounted everybody has access to it. Yet, when I plug the usb pendrive into the terminal, nothing happens.

by running a test mount command:
ltspfs ws199.ltsp:/tmp/drives $HOME/foo
i get:
ERROR connecting

What can I say, I followed that instruction and have the success.
Are You sure all is set up? have You went through troubleshooting steps?

/etc/rc.localdev: line 103: smbd: command not found

how do I get smbd to work???
You sure it's ltsp 4.2 - cause 4.2 is not using samba anymore?

ASKER

at this stage, i'm not sure of anything.
it says it's 4.2 when i hit version

i have two folders in /opt: ltsp and ltsp-4.2

right now dhcpd.conf is configured to use ltsp because ltsp-4.2 won't boot up the terminals

when using ltsp-4.2 i get the following error when terminal is booting up:

mount failed...Permision denied.
mount:nfsmount fail: bad file descriptor
mount: mounting... on /newroot/nfsroot failed: invalid argument

tail -f messages gives me this:

Mar  4 17:56:11 servicer rpc.mountd: refused mount request from ws198.ltsp for /opt/ltsp-4.2/i386 (/): not exported

ok. after fixing NFS (which was exporting /opt/ltsp/ instead of /opt/ltps-4.2 it's running great.
Thanks.
