How to reformat and install windows xp Media Centre on Acer Notebook Aspire 5584wxmi ?

I bought this notebook last 2 years and now there are a lot of softwares that I installed in this machine. Now I decided to reformat the whole thing. This notebook come with original win xp media center and some people told me that the installation disk actually reside in the harddisk as different partition. My harddisk size actually 80GB but I an only used 70GB as shown in all drives ?
My question is, how to reformat and reinstall the OS ?
Please tell me step by step.
Ive done the installation on normal PC with installation CD before. But installtion from the Harddisk will be my first experience.
Thanks.

Try <CTRL>+<F10> or <ALT>+<F10> on power-up, before the Operating System starts to load.

If it is a DELL system, press <Ctrl>+<F11> when you see the blue bar at the top of the screen that says dell and follow the on screen instructions.

What type of system do you have?
If you have all of the disks then you should have the instructions to reinstall the OS. I believe with an Acer notebook you have to change the boot settings to allow the cd rom to be a bootable device. When the computer is starting up press F2. Find the boot order and move the cdrom to the top of the list then save and exit. (make sure the first of the restore disks is in the cd rom) the computer will restart then ask if you would like to boot from the cdrom. press any key and the installation process will begin and is fully automated by acer.

tgsc,
what do you mean by system ?
processor, ram, or os ? I already gave you sufficient info, unless you mean otherthing. Pls be more specific.

nicolausj,
I already knew that method, ie, install from CD. But what I want is to install from HD.
This notebook come with original win xp media center and the installation disk actually reside in the harddisk as different partition. My harddisk size actually 80GB but I an only used 70GB as shown in all drives ? This simply because other 10GB are use for OS.

When I bought this machine, there is no installation CD given because they told me that everything in the HD.
If you weren't given the installation CD, you may want to contact Acer Support and request a copy.  They may charge you a small amount for shipping and the disk, but it would be worth it.  Otherwise your only other choice may be to bring the machine to a repair shop for rebuilding.
