asked on

'max server memory (MB) Reconfigure Syntax?

Not sure if my SQL syntax is correct because I don't recieve the 'Command Completed Successfully' in the SQL querry window (MS SQL Server Management Studio).

[I recieve this only:]
Configuration option 'show advanced options' changed from 1 to 1. Run the RECONFIGURE statement to install.
Configuration option 'max server memory (MB)' changed from 128 to 128. Run the RECONFIGURE statement to install.

USE master
EXEC sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1
RECONFIGURE
GO
EXEC sp_configure 'max server memory (MB)', 128
RECONFIGURE
GO

Now if I just run RECONFIGURE all by its self, I will recieve the 'Command Completed Successfully'.

I have to be sure this memory reconfigure syntax will run and complete during an InstallShield win app and SQL db installation....

So I'm tesing in the querry to be sure..

Help...
