I'm on a shared plan for hosting my asp.net 1.1 website and my sessions keeps getting dropped

I'm on a shared plan for hosting my asp.net 1.1 website and my sessions keeps getting dropped even though I used state server to manage my sessions. I think I'm on a web farm. So my question is Should a state server prevent dropped sessions even though I'm on a web farm? I know it's not the code because I have a error log page that shows sessionId. All the errors occur with dropped sessions. Any recommendations? Time to look for a new hosting company?

Is there any consistency to the time before the session is dropped?  It could be the session state table is not configured correctly on your ISP's firewall.

It seems to be at random.  It might happen after 3 mins or 15 mins. It has a mind of its own.

I have the same problem but it was contained to uploads. I neve get any dropped sessions from my house or at my work. The site doesn't allow you to upload or download anything. You can only post text back. I think the problem you had dealt with your firewall settings at home.  Thanks
