Datawindow Retrieval Arguments

Hi,
I have a datawindow that has a chil dropdown datawindow. In this child dropdown datawindow, I have assigned a Retrieval Argument. I have designed to displaye this child DDW only when the user clicks on a particular column on any row of the main datawindow. So in my script I have passed the argument value to the retrival event of this child ddw.
The thing is, I don't want this child ddw to be retrived at the same time when the main datawindow displays.
But I am facing one problem that, when the main datawindow displays, it dispalys a popup window and asks the retrieval argument values for the child DDW.
How can I stop this popup window for the retrival argument?

ASKER

Hi,

1) I got some information from some web sites as to add a new empty(blank) row to the child DDW before firing the event for retrieval of the main datawindow. This will lead to suppress the autoretrieval of the child datawindows.
2) Sandeep also suggested me one method.
I am planned to test both of these methods. Can you suggest me which is the right and better way.
