Delayed Write Failed Event ID's 50 and 26 when saving to mapped DFS share

I am running thunderbird with my profile living on mapped drive.  The drive letter map is pointing to a DFS path.  Here are the to Events I am getting in the event log aproximatly every 10 minutes:

I followed: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816004
It looks like a NTSTATUS Error Code = 0x80040032 = IO_LOST_DELAYED_WRITE But what can I do about this?  I will try changing the NIC driver.
