Embedding fonts in an HTML page (using Coldfusion, CSS, Flash, .. anything)??

I'm working on an html newsletter project that requires that a specific font be used to render dynamic text.

Can Coldfusion, CSS, or Flash be used to embed specific fonts into an HTML page?  Is so, .. which technology is best reccomended for this?

The only technology that seems to be capable of doing it if Flash, it seems.  But I suspect that this might not work too well if the html email is to be primarily viewed in an email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc).

We want to keep this relatively simple, and don't want to use anything that some email clients can't render (ie: embedded flash or javascript, etc) Anyone have any thoughts regarding this?

Didn't coldfusion 8 introduce something like this?  If so, I can't seem to find any documentation on it.

Thanks in advance,
- Yvan

If the mails will be viewed in a mail client your best solution is to make a program that dynamically makes an image based on a text variable that uses the font you want. That's been done many times so you should be able to find code for that.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I suspected.
