Computer Freezes Overnite

I have a client with a Dell Dimension.  About 4 years old.  System works without problem during the day, however, he leaves the machine on overnite and when he comes in in the morning, the screen saver is on and frozen.  ONLY way to get the machine going is to turn it off from the power button and restart the machine.

Anyone have any clue as to what might cause this.  Gave him the stock answer...don't leave the machine on overnite, but he would rather find out what the problem is.

Thanks for the help

If you check the event viewer, are there any errors that seem unusual?

There is nothing in the event viewer indicating the freeze.  Some more info about the machine.  Running XP Pro SP2, integrated NIC.  There have been a couple of times...only a couple in the last few weeks when the machine has shut down suddenly during the day while being used normally.
