How to set up email forwarding in Exchange 2003 to the two different emails accounts?
I have created a webmaster account in Exchange 2003 and would like to set up email forwarding to the two different email accounts. Emails should be forwarded to one internal organization's user account as well as to the external commercial account.
Please advise.
Thank you.

"Createc a mail enabled user with an external SMTP address for the external user. " Do you mean to create a contact with the external email address?
Thanks.
Thanks.
No. Create a user without a mailbox. Then right click the user > Exchange tasks > Establish email address and add their external SMTP address. If you create a mail enabled contact you won't be able to add it to the group.

Where would I create a mail enabled group? Thanks.

I created webmaster_distribution group. Exchange assigned an email address webmaster_distribution@... com to that group. I made it universal and distribution.
Will I add the emails into email addresses window?
Thanks.

If you have the group now see if you can add it via the steps I gave above.
Don't add the addresses here. Now you want to create the mail enabled user (a mail enabled user has a user account in your domain but not a mailbox. It has an external SMTP address).
Once you have the mail enabled user and your internal user is probably alreayd existing you simply add these two accounts as members of the group your created via ADU&C.

Thank you. It worked.
Hi
I am trying to do a similar thing here. Forward copies of emails to 2 external email addresses.
I have the two external addresses as contacts, and have a distribution group containing the two contacts.
However, when I go to select the "forwarding address" I can only pick from "User or other object" and there are no groups in this list (users and contacts mainly). Also I can only pick ONE item, so can't add the two external email addresses individually.
Any advice would be good.
Thanks.

Sorry, I think it was just as simple as mail-enabling the group.
Createc a mail enabled user with an external SMTP address for the external user. Create a mail enabled group and add the external user account and the internal user account that you want to have the mail forwarded to. Then add the mail enabled group as a forward on the webmaster account.
