asked on

jump from code file to solution explorer

Hello,

If I am working in a form or clas file in the editor window, is there a command to navigate to that file in the solution explorer?

Kind of like the revers of what happens when you double a class in the solution explorer, it will take you to the class in the editor, or open it in the editor if its not already open.

I am working in a large solution, and often want to find the file I am currently editing in the solution explorer.

Any way to do this, can't find a shortcut or command to do it.

Thanks!

Which version of VS are you using? I run VS2005. Any time I select a file from the tab across the top of the editor window, it scrolls the solution explorer so that file is visible.

im using vs 2005 c#.

my solution explorer is not scrolling at all
I always have to manual scroll find project/ expand sub folder folder if its not, locate file etc :(
I'll nose around to see if that's an option that might be disabled for you.

I just searched all the menus, and found no way to enable/disable this action. Do you have SP1 installed? I do, and that's a possible difference.
