How to setup multiple domains in Active Directory

I was wondering if it is possible to setup multiple domains in active directory that run on one computer.  My company has two domains: domainx.com and domainy.com.  They want to be able to have email addresses for usera@domainx.com and usera@domainy.com.  To do this I need to setup multiple domains.  We are currently low on servers and want to avoid purchasing another one if at all possible.

So my question is, can I setup multiple domains on one Windows 2003 server?

nope. One domain per server. If you are purely looking for the option of sending from different email addresses and domains, this can all be done through exchange

But straight out no, unless your virtualise.....one DC role per machine

I have exchange 2007 running on our email server.  It is currently set up use the active directory for domainx.  How do I set it up to send and recieve email from domainy?
Easy as :) its all in accepted domains - i run 6 on mine and none of them are my internal domain name :)

Bottom has other links on creating and configuring them too
I setup an accecpted domain as an authoratative type for domainy.  However, when I go to create a new user using the management console, I only have domainx as an option for creating a new email address.
How do I create email accounts for users at domainy?
