starting Network Location Awareness Service

Hi All
I have an Acer Laptop that can not connect to the internet (wireless) as is sais that the dependancy service or groups failed to start. After some investigation I logged in with the hidden admistrator account and tried to start the service via services.msc. The service would not start. I then did some google searching and changed the LogOn for this service from This Acount (Network Service) to Local System Account however this did not fix the problem. I have since tried to set it back to the Network Service Account and it is saying invalid password. I do not know what the Network Service Account password is. Is there any way I can fix this problem or have I totally ruined it
Thanks in advance

I have done a system restore to earlier today which solved the Servie account password error. Back with the original problem of not being able to start the service( Network Location Awareness). I am just guessing that this has something to do with the fact that I cant access the internet  and getting the error on startup (dependancy service or group failed to start).

When you get to the list of services, double click on the Network Location Awareness service then click on the Dependencies tab.  On that tab you will see which other services are dependencies for it -- in other words, what services must be already running so that you can start the NLA service.  On my computer it lists as dependencies:

Network Store Interface service
    NSI Proxy service
Remote Procedure Call service (RPC)
    DCOM Server Process Launcher
TCP/IP Protocol driver

Now find these services and see if they are set to Automatic and started (if not, double click and on the next screen you can set Startup Type to Automatic and click on the Start button for that service.)  If any of these cannot be started, check their Dependencies tab to see if other services exist which need to be started.
